ORFILA
UPDATE :
April 17, 2003, {
rumoured european location } — The
first track from Orfila's upcoming debut
album has been recorded at a remote mountain
location somewhere in the Cascade Range.
A small soundproof shack served as the
studio and stomping grounds for Orfila
for this premier recording and the mastering
of the song. Front-man Marco D'Amico
feels the piece may remain an instrumental
on the album despite the fact that lyrics
for the tune were penned over 7 years
ago [ according to Clem's half-sister
Lucy ]. Although no official word has
yet been released on the completion of
the recording — much activity surrounding
the cabin hideway studio was reported
from recent satellite transmissions.
March 5 2003 :: Orfila
finished recording their debut album from
an undisclosed location. Rumour has it
that front-man, vocalist, and lead guitarist
Marco D'Amico has hired
an experimental keyboardist from Lower
Falls, Georgia named Clem
to fill out some of the groove-based b-side
tracks. 3 other studio musicians have
been rumoured to be seen near the Orfila
Music Headquarters in Seattle —
apparently rounding up random instruments
that have been inadvertently left behind.
TOUR NEWS
:: No dates have been arranged
as of yet, although the booking manager
Jabu reports some close
contact with the band's agent.
